Basics of cPanel

cPanel is the control panel which is a de facto standard employed by many hosting services and preferred by many users as their paid hosting control panel.

cPanel allows you to control many aspects of your site and account including creating databases, manage e-mail, DNS records, files and much, much more.

How do I access my cPanel?

Accessing your cPanel can be done through a variety of means:

  1. example.com/cpanel
  2. example.com:2082
  3. https://example.com:2083
  4. The temporary IP login locations in your welcome e-mail
  5. Through SecureSignup.net

If in doubt, refer to your initial welcome e-mail for exact details as it will be provided in that e-mail.

How do I login to my cPanel?

When you ordered your service you should have received login details including a username, password and other associated information.

What do I do if I lost my password?

If you have lost your password you can do the following:

  • Login to your Billing Account
  • Click onĀ My Services
  • On the far right of the service in question, click on the icon

You will now be able to change the password for your control panel account if necessary and be able to login.

What do I do if I forget my username?

Refer to your original account details e-mail and/or refer to the lost password instructions above as the username is also provided in the same area.
